Skyz The Limit Too

Your Guide To The Best Club Tunes From The Weekend

Moby – Mistake (Funkagenda Edit)
Comment: New York’s premiere DJ, musician and producer extraordinaire might be paying homage to Philip Glass in this epic lyrically heart-wrenching induced ballad. Minimalist techno mastermind, Funkagenda from London, splices in symphonic strings and then builds with chilled out synth beats and trippy electronica, while Moby showcases a marvelous vocal reminiscent of David Bowie. This is a very special remix and a must-have for your car stereo to listen to on full blast!!
Grade: A

Telsa Boy – Spirit of The Night(Best Track Remix)

Comment: If British new wave acts A-ha and The Pet Shop Boys were to collaborate on a new track, this 80s dance-inspired group from Moscow provides a sneak peak of what they would sound like today. This is perhaps one of the most melodious and lyrically addictive tracks of 2009. Hopefully these Russian techno goers get noticed stateside sometime soon. The title of track seems appropriate to pop up on a nighttime serial show.
Grade:B+

Little Boots – Every Little Earthquake (Yes Giantess Remix)
Comment: Little Boots deserves kudos for being this years world’s preeminent female alternative act. This fantastic remix blends in psychedelic electronic with an assortment of dubstep influences. If you are new to this UK diva’s discography, then this would be a great track to begin your club sets education. (Sky Selection of The Week)
Grade: A+

Crystal Method – Drown In The Now (Ft. Matisyahu) (Tommie Sunshine Remix)

Comment: This hard-to-find bootleg remix provides an electro hard trance version of this awesome new tune by this Californian big beat dance electronic outfit, consisting of Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland.
Grade: A

Florence and The Machine (Jack Beats Remix)

Comment: This trip-hop remix does not feature the big acid baselines that we have come to expect from this in vogue electronic outfit. But this laid back mix adds just enough electronic beats to earn this a top floor filler for one’s deejay set.
